Procurement & Contracts Engineer

Role Purpose:


Procurement & Contracts Engineer at EJAZ CREATIVE STUDIO will oversee the purchasing of technical goods and services for the projects and should have very detailed knowledge of the equipment, materials and supplies used in the industry, and is able to identify companies that sell them. Procurement & Contracts Engineer will evaluate suppliers and negotiate purchase agreements with them, as well as maintain the inventory of supplies. Will also be monitoring any adjustments to the materials to maintain optimum supply in order to complete projects on time and on budget.

Key Accountabilities:


  • Analyze technical data and specifications to determine the materials needed for the projects. 

  • Evaluate materials suppliers and negotiate purchasing agreements of the supplies.

  • Establish delivery terms, time and stages of inspection for the supply with the Project Management Team.

  • Ensure that purchases comply with commercial, legal and contractual obligations. 

  • Communicate with stakeholders regarding the nature and function of purchased materials. 

  • Liaise with suppliers on delivery schedule so as to ensure on-time deliveries of materials.

  • Work on finding solutions and alternatives to procure unavailable items, or suggest other purchase resources and submit them to relevant departments to get the technical approval.

  • Receive and check purchase orders from different company’s departments and projects according to the approved systems and procedures.

  • Issue purchase orders and ensure the compliance with needs, plans and approved budgets and to submit them to the manager for approval and follow its implementation

  • process in collaboration with the Project Management Team.

  • Prepare pre-evaluations, tender documents and bids evaluation reports.

  • Study the project’s documents like drawings, specifications, and review tender documents and contracts to be able to follow up on materials required. 

  • Establish and maintain a database of suppliers and companies for each project. 

  • Monitor the overall financial and physical progress of the awarded contract in a timely manner and review the vendor's payments due dates. 

  • Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments and perform frequent analysis to predict potential inventory problems.

  • Contributes with the Project Management Team efforts in making cost-effective deals with contractors and vendors. 

  • Facilitating in developing and preparing  all project-related contracts terms and conditions and organizing the list of bidders and inviting the file for tenders.

  • Procurement & Contracts Engineer should maintain time/site flexibility whenever the project requires. 

  • Carrying out other procurement related actions necessary to facilitate the effective and timely implementation of the project.

  • The ability to negotiate and explore alternatives to reach outcomes that will gain approval of all parties and will also meet the company's strategic procurement objectives.

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in categorizing supplies to ensure that the key categories are managed most efficiently.

  • Strong management skills in the purchasing process to assure it is completed in the right time frame and it moves smoothly through required approval channels.

Professional Qualifications:


Minimum 3 years of experience in the procurement field.


Educational Qualifications:


Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Survey.
